Da Moon

CURRENT MOON

If you are wondering why this is here, I'll tell you. Try this for yourself to truly believe and understand it.
Go out on a night with say 30% of a full moon, take notice of the events around you.
Now go to the same place for a similar night when it says 100% full.

If you don't see an increase in memorable events throughout the night, you are either stupid, alone, or you're the one that's acting the fool.....
You know what they say, If you can't spot the sucker in the room, than it's you.

December the 26th, 2008
Lulu's Village Pub

We got our start here 6 years ago with some great friends of ours, and it was awesome to be back. Thanks to Charlie for hooking us up, and to Movement for kicking ass like they do.

That said.... this is our last show of the year 2008 and that concludes yet another year of Blind Robbery

December the 20th, 2008
The Shore Thing Lounge

Port Washington is on long island, easily accesible by car AND boat, it's actually quite beautiful....
Men and women have written books and poems about the beauty and prestige of the area, It's also known for its wild parties.....
You know, the 1986 Mets pretty much lived there while they played for the team, and you know those guys knew where the party was at, if you know what I'm talking about....
Just picture it, Strawberry, Doc and Hernandez watching it snow at 4am with Dykstra and Mookie.
Yet... well, for those of you who were there, it was a pleasure to introduce some new tunes, and play some out of the ordinary stuff you won't see anywhere else except for The Shore Thing Lounge. want to know what you missed??
SEE US AT THE SHORE THING LOUNGE

December the 13th, 2008
Sound Beach Inn - Little Flower Orphanage benefit

It's always a pleasure to do something that helps others who are in need.
Besides the fact that it was a good cause it was also a good show with some good bands, and good people

November the 22nd, 2008
Lincoln Lounge - Waltham, MA.

The Lincoln Lounge, and her patrons of the night offered us some much needed warmth in what may have been the coldest cold in the history of cold. Seriously, it was like 6 degrees without the wind factored in.

on a side note, if you ever find yourself in Waltham, MA..... GO TO JAKES DIXIE ROADHOUSE

November the 7th, 2008
The Shore Thing Lounge

Let us first say; it is a pleasure to play music that inspires people to get it on right then and there, at the bar....
That said, humping at the bar is just not sanitary.... at the least.
please go to your car. thank you.

M.E.A.N.Y. Fest @ Rehab -NYC

More bars should have lights in the floor if you ask me.
We had a great time playing for the folks at Rehab

September the 13th, 2008
The Shore Thing Lounge

Once again this bar has proven to be an unearthly anomaly that produces nothing but a good time.

I cannot honestly think of ONE TIME we've played at this amazing bar and not gone home with a phenomenal epic adventure to share with those who were not in attendance.

This show was epic.
Craig Adams was in heaven when his eyes met those of our lovely young bartender for the evening.
So distracted by lust was he, that a few lines were forgotten, and a beer was spilled.
Thanks for having us again Bill.

September the 7th, 2008
West Hills fundraiser event for Congressman Steve Israel

It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a special event.

To Off The Record featuring Congressman John Hall,
and most of all, thanks to everyone who came out to show their support
and to all the folks who put together such a fine event.

Apologies to all who planned to come out.

August the 10th, 2008
20th Annual Be-In Festival

Shorefront Park / Fadeleys Pub

Unfortunately the weather did not meet the demands of an outdoor festival, but that didn't stop the good times,
as the party was moved up the street to the one and only Fadeleys Pub.
There one was treated to killer sets from Kate Pearlman, Jesse, and Movement, and more.
We took the stage and rocked the house loud the way we like it.

July the 25th, 2008
JONES BEACH

wow.
Everything about this night was like a dream.
Words would only spoil the greatness that it was, so I'll keep it simple.
We played awesome,
The weather was awesome,
Our friends are awesome,
our families are awesome,
Mammoth was awesome,
Toxin was awesome,
Tug O' War between Nassau & Suffolk P.D.'s ...........priceless.... and awesome.

July the 6th, 2008

DYNAMIC MUSIC FEST
at SHAMROCKS

Well, it's the first time I got to play a Peavey 5150, and now I know what the big deal is with that amp.
It has a very pronounced middle range, but doesn't go overboard and become a tinny sounding mess, yet it retains a clear high end, and chunks out beefy lows when palm muting.
I found the clean settings on this amp can be tweaked to almost any desired tone, from a slight crunch to a shimmering jazzy clean. The gain channel has got gobs of pure tube gain available and unlike some amplifiers that produce tube gain at a certain frequency range, I found that this amplifier pushes the gain evenly across the full spectrum.

Overall this amplifier has an incredibly well rounded tone, and enough tone control options to please just about any player.

CENTEREACH FIRE DEPARTMENT
75TH ANNIVERSARY PARADE

Well this was just cool as hell.
The bravest of Centereach honored us by inviting us to perform for everyone who participated in the parade, as well as those who came to watch it.
Nothing could stop the party, not a little rain, not a lot of rain, not an ungodly disturbing amount of rain, or lightning,
hell even a fire didn't stop the good times
